CU Student Payments and Purchasing Apps Affected by 12-Hour Maintenance

UIS posted a 6 a.m. start alert for work scheduled through 6 p.m. Sunday. CU lists email and Microsoft services as available during the window.

The University of Colorado listed its student billing and payment service and its purchasing platform as unavailable during a 6 a.m.–6 p.m. maintenance window Sunday, Sept. 27. University Information Services posted a 6 a.m. start alert saying production-system work was in progress. The 6 p.m. endpoint is a scheduled finish, not confirmation that service has been restored.

Students needing to pay electronically or use CU’s Enterprise Portal for self-service, and employees handling purchase orders or invoices through CU Marketplace, have tasks on the affected list. CU’s system-specific notice names Nelnet electronic billing and payments, the Enterprise Portal and CU Marketplace, along with Campus Solutions and certain finance and HR applications.

What CU lists as available

CU says cu.edu email and Microsoft services remain available during the maintenance. It also lists wired and wireless connectivity at its 1800 Grant system office as available. That office-specific listing does not establish the status of every CU campus network; the interruption concerns named production applications.

UIS says most production services will be unavailable during the window. Students and staff waiting to complete an affected task can check CU’s maintenance updates for a completion notice rather than treating the scheduled end as a guarantee of access.
