TrackVia Announces Field-Software Update; Quick Start Begins at $10,800 a Year

MCP connectivity spans TrackVia plans without a separate TrackVia purchase. Its read-only IRIS assistant serves a different purpose from an authorized outside assistant.

Denver-based TrackVia announced a field-operations platform update on September 30 for teams managing work orders, inspections and assets. Its Quick Start offer starts at $45 per user per month, billed annually, with a 20-user minimum—$10,800 for 12 months at that advertised starting rate. For a business evaluating the software, that minimum sets the platform subscription budget before any outside AI service.

TrackVia says its Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection is available on every plan without a separate TrackVia purchase. It connects the platform to supported outside AI assistants. That offer is distinct from IRIS, TrackVia’s in-app assistant: the company describes IRIS as read-only but does not specify its price or plan-by-plan availability on its AI page.

Two ways to use AI

IRIS answers questions about information held in TrackVia. Through MCP, TrackVia says an authorized outside assistant can also create or modify applications. Its developer documentation says assistant requests use the connected user’s permissions, and changes appear in standard record history. Teams deciding whether to permit AI-initiated changes have a different choice from those seeking read-only answers.

What the starting price covers

TrackVia’s connection instructions require an active TrackVia account and a supported outside assistant; some assistants have additional plan or administrative prerequisites. The $10,800 calculation covers the published Quick Start seat minimum at its starting rate, not the outside service or implementation. TrackVia’s general terms say subscription fees ordinarily are paid annually in advance unless an order specifies otherwise.

The update also includes a rebuilt Android app, while a refreshed web experience is rolling out. Businesses planning field deployment can assess the mobile changes alongside the permissions their chosen AI assistant would need, without assuming the web refresh has reached every account.
