Lucid Bots Reports 280-Foot Black Hawk Drone Cleaning, Opens $250 HighLine Reservations

The refundable deposit reserves a place for the rooftop hose-support system, whose final price and supported working height are still being set.

Lucid Bots said its Sherpa drone cleaned 280 feet above ground at Black Hawk’s 23-story Monarch Casino Resort Spa hotel tower in late September, using a new rooftop hose-support system called Sherpa HighLine. The company’s October 1 announcement gives commercial exterior cleaners considering taller buildings an immediate decision: they can place a $250 refundable reservation deposit, while the system’s purchase price remains pending.

HighLine uses a software-controlled, motorized rooftop pulley to support part of the cleaning hose’s weight, according to Lucid Bots. That changes how the hose load is handled as the drone works up a building. The company-reported Black Hawk job demonstrates the setup at one site; Lucid Bots says HighLine’s maximum supported working height and final operating requirements are still being developed.

The distinction matters when assessing the 280-foot figure. Lucid Bots’ existing Sherpa-system page describes 180 feet in supported configurations. The Black Hawk job does not establish a generally available 280-foot operating specification for HighLine.

What a reservation buys

The HighLine store listing says the $250 deposit is refundable and creditable toward a purchase. It reserves a place; it does not buy the equipment or include training. Buyers also need Lucid Bots’ approval and training at an additional cost.

Lucid Bots plans a limited release in the fourth quarter of 2026 and targets full production in early 2027. For cleaning operators, the rooftop hose support is the capability to evaluate now. Final pricing, supported height and training requirements will shape the eventual equipment purchase.
